These clients had recently purchased a new home with outdated landscaping. They came to us with a design in-hand from an architect they had previously worked with. We worked with the vison they brought and added some elements to the design as well including a fieldstone fire pit and bluestone front walkway. The design creates spaces to entertain and enjoy the outdoors. The oversized seven foot granite steps give a wide expansive feel to the paths and flow of the landscape. Landscape lighting accents the garden beds and lights the way giving this space a pleasant ambiance. In addition this project features: Sod lawn, pattern stock bluestone patio, bluestone walkway and stepping stone paths.

Retreat
If you are looking for inspiration for an outdoor living space look no further. This project was a blank slate from the start. These clients purchased this as a retreat home, as it sits within close proximity to outdoor recreational activities. We proposed a two tier outdoor space to separate a fire pit area below from a more formal dining area above. These two areas are separated by a fieldstone retaining wall and small garden bed, with landscape lighting. This is a retreat anyone would be excited to come visit and enjoy their outdoor living area.

These granite steps were a much needed improvement from the timber and brick steps that preceded them. The granite will be a permanent maintenance free addition to this lakefront property. While providing safety for the homeowners and their guests this project will increase the property value and curb appeal.
